Joshua Lazarus, an empathetic individual with psychic abilities, was raised in a foster home under the watchful eye of the NSA. Utilizing his unique gift, Lazarus aids the government in various missions. However, his agency informs him that his psychic powers are a side effect of the rare Widmann's Disease, which will eventually deteriorate his mental faculties and lead to his demise. Despite this grim outlook, Lazarus encounters a mysterious woman with similar powers (portrayed by Mía Maestro) who shows no signs of the fatal disease, forcing Lazarus to confront the lies he has been told about his condition. As their paths intertwine, Lazarus is faced with the harrowing truth of his own existence and the mysteries surrounding his powers.
